I think this is her saying that this “high” that he has will be short lived without her. Especially because she is the reason that he is where he is. The worst part is, she doesn’t even know why she put his needs above her own. My guess is when you truly love someone, you would do anything for them. Including destroying yourself to make sure they are taken care of and happy. I’m not saying that is a good thing! I’m just stating that sometimes love can be one sided, and you can forget about important things, such as yourself!!

This is a tricky one considering these lyrics are from “Cry Me a River” By Justin Timberlake. Halsey either just liked the lyrics, or G-Eazy did something that deserved them. Let’s hope it was just a matter of some really good lyrics being added for fun..

Her boyfriend is feeling so high, but in the process of getting to where he is, he lost her. Therefore he is too far away to hold her, she helped him get where he is but he can’t even share the experience with her because she left.
The fact that he can’t enjoy his own growth, success, and fortune with the person who helped him get there and still loves this song says alot.
The reason why he loves the song and why many abusers like it is because they dont take accountability and see their behavior as a problem. Your reaction becomes the problem.. they bump it full of ego, no pain, no remorse, no empathy. While you bump it from the heart because you actually acted selflessly from the heart, because you were actually honest, and you really don’t know why you were when they constantly were not..
Her ability to empathize with his shame is remarkable, she knows what he’s like at his low.. when he is most toxic, when his ego is broken, and his shame is holding him back.. this song just has to hit him deep when he’s alone. “Too far to hold her”. If that doesn’t secretly eat away at his shame idk what will.
My ex fella falls into the same category as the guy in the video and I actually mean that I thought I given my ex everything and more yet he’s still gone out of our home and hurt other people that didn’t need his sad ways to enter theirs.
I don’t think G Eazy getting back up and back into it is the reason they are not together. She sounds crazy to me and the guy needed out. Just listen to the lyrics, she sounds up herself, as if the guy wasn’t successful before her and without her. The guy was just going through a breakup and having normal down feelings. She can’t take credit, any rebound would have resulted in the same story.
Of course you would say that she is crazy. we HEAR the lyrics loud and clear and if you’re a song fanatic and appreciate music, you would understand. I mean you think she is crazy, I promise it doesn’t bother her one bit. This song hit the top 100’s for a reason and was #1 for a reason. I promise it was not because it sucked. He wasn’t that successful before her. I didn’t even know who he was.

This song I relate to my late sons passing. To a T. I did all I could to help him in his addiction. To no avail he died on me.
I am so sorry for your loss. Addiction is a double ended blade. It hurts those addicted and those who try to help. It’s always a sad day when addiction wins, especially when it is someone you love. I know this from experience as well. May your son Rest In Peace.

I can relate to her feelings because that what happened to me to the man i truly love and changed my life for and i sacrificed a lot for him so that he won’t feel less of a man. I did it all to put him high but he was so blind to lie and cheated on me thinking i won’t find out

After I lost my mum at age 9 I took every other person as my enemy due to the pain and trauma I had… Then I met this guy who is bmx flatland rider and I am a dancer like .. We planned on making videos to together, he tried to influence me positively but I was too difficult for him to understand… So he decided to let me go and I became more hurt than when I lost my mum… I just tried choreographing the song to let people know that holding back and being addicted to some certain stuff could make you loose love… Love is ment to make you grow not make you lesser…
